How to use them
Before you ask
Karaoke is already a conversation game: everyone reveals something about themselves by the songs they pick. A few questions between turns make the most of it. Ask for everyone’s personal theme song, or which one takes you back to a time with friends, and the stories come with the playlist.
There’s always someone who won’t sing. The stage-fright questions are for them: what they do the instant something mortifying happens, the misheard lyric they still laugh about, what they’d try if failing felt less embarrassing. Sometimes that last one gets them on the mic.
Use the in-between questions for the gaps while the next singer scrolls through the list. They keep the room laughing so the energy never drops, which is the whole job of a good karaoke night.
