How to use them
Before you ask
A Christmas party mixes people who don’t usually share a table: the boss and the intern, the barkada and someone’s new jowa, the classmates who only talk in the group chat. The safest questions are about food, small preferences and silly what-ifs. Nobody has to explain their year or their salary to answer them.
Use the quick picks while people are still arriving and the lechon isn’t out yet. Once everyone is eating, ask the food questions, because a Christmas party is mostly a food event anyway. The game prompts work as a round between the raffle and the exchange gift: one card, everyone answers, the funniest answer gets the applause.
Keep it light and keep it short. A party question should take ten seconds to answer, not ten minutes. Leave the warmer questions for the end of the night, when the program is over and it’s down to the people who stayed to help pack the leftovers.
Good for
Tips
- Pick one host to read the cards aloud, so nobody has to volunteer.
- Go around the circle fast and let people say “pass” without a reason.
- Use the funny-award style prompts as an extra round after the official awards.
- At the office, skip anything about money, weight or who is single.
- Mix English and Tagalog. Every card has both, so read whichever lands with the room.
- Want more like these? The Icebreakers deck is built for rooms full of near-strangers.

Frequently asked questions
What are good questions to ask at a Christmas party?
Light questions about food, small preferences and harmless what-ifs, because anyone can answer them in a sentence. Try a would-you-rather, a favorite party food, or a silly award everyone gives themselves.
What are good Christmas party games for the office?
Simple question rounds work well at an office party: one person reads a card, everyone answers in a sentence, and the group votes on the funniest answer. Keep the questions light and let anyone pass.
How do you get people talking at a Christmas party where not everyone knows each other?
Start with this-or-that questions while people are arriving, then ask about the food on the table. Small, easy answers get people laughing before anyone has to share something personal.
Are these Christmas party questions in Tagalog too?
Yes. Every question has an English and a Filipino/Tagalog version, so a mixed group can read whichever is easier.
Can we play these at the party on a phone?
Yes. They are cards from the free Kumustahan app. Pick the Icebreakers and Just for fun decks, choose Keep it light, and pass the phone around the table.
