Playing Lifegroup & Faith

How to use this deck

Most lifegroups know the moment. Everyone has shared their week, and nobody knows how to go further. These cards are for that moment. They ask about faith where it actually happens: in tired weeks and dry seasons, in serving, forgiving and waiting, and in ordinary days with God.

It’s warm, not preachy. There are no right answers to perform, room for doubt and unanswered questions, and space for people at different places in their walk to answer the same card.

Good for

  • Young adult lifegroups and small groups
  • Openers before a Bible study
  • Retreats and camps, in the quiet hour
  • Discipleship one-on-ones and accountability partners
  • Your own devotional time, one card a day

Tips

  1. Open with a light card, even in a group that knows each other well. It tells everyone they can answer.
  2. Let the leader answer first. If you go honest, the group will follow.
  3. Give each card one full round. Everyone answers or passes before you draw again.
  4. Keep what’s shared in the room, and say so before the first card.
  5. Close by praying for what came up. Choose Go deeper only when the group is ready to carry it.

Four to six is plenty if everyone answers each card. The session saves, so you can pick it up at the next meeting.
