Before you ask
Siblings are the only people who grew up in your house at the same time, and somehow remember a completely different house. That’s what makes questions to ask your siblings fun: the same rule, the same family joke, the same fight over the fan setting, told from two sides. Ask the same card to each brother or sister and compare.
Start with the old arguments; they’re light, everyone has an opinion, and the teasing is half the fun. Then go back to childhood: the habit at home you thought every family had, the game that kept you busy for hours. The questions about who you are now are the ones adult siblings rarely ask, because you assume you already know.
Keep it kind. Siblings know exactly where the sore spots are, so this is not the night to bring up who was the favorite. These work at holidays, on a sibling trip or over a video call when you live in different cities or countries. Every card also has a Tagalog version, and anyone can pass.
Good for
Tips
- Ask the same question to every sibling and compare the answers.
- Let the youngest go first; they usually get talked over.
- Tease about habits, never about old hurts.
- Invite partners in; they bring the outside view.
- Pick up the deeper ones one-on-one, not in front of everyone.

Frequently asked questions
What are good questions to ask your siblings?
Questions about the house you grew up in, a habit at home you thought was normal, a family memory you each remember differently, and a skill or change in your life they may have missed.
How do you reconnect with a sibling as an adult?
Ask about who they are now, not just who they were. Questions about what they can handle better than before, or what they’d like more normal time for, show interest in the adult rather than the kid you remember.
What are fun questions to ask your brother or sister?
Light ones about habits and quirks: the item they always lose, their ideal fan or aircon setting, the personal rule only they understand. They start friendly arguments that turn into stories.
Can we play these over a video call?
Yes. One person opens the Kumustahan app, shares the card on screen or reads it out, and everyone answers in turn. The cards work offline and in English or Tagalog.
