How to use them
Before you ask
“Where do you see this going?” is a hard question to answer well, because it asks for a whole future at once. Questions about the future work better in pieces. Start with a daydream, like the extra room you’d add to a dream home or a tiny shop you’d open just for fun. Daydreams show what someone values without anyone having to commit to anything.
Then move closer: a plan for the next few months that feels exciting and doable, the direction each of you feels drawn toward, one hope you’re protecting. The worries belong at the end, on a calm night, asked gently. Listen for where your answers line up and where they don’t. A difference isn’t a crisis; it’s something to keep talking about. There’s more on that in how to talk about the future with your partner.
Some cards come from the Couples deck and the rest from Reflect and Icebreakers, so they suit new couples and married ones alike. The Couples Edition has more. Every card has a Tagalog version. Pass anything that feels too big tonight; the future isn’t going anywhere.

What questions should you ask your partner about the future?
Start with daydreams like a dream home or a dream trip, then the next few months, then who you each want to become and what you hope for and worry about in your life together. Small pieces are easier than one huge question.
How do you ask your partner where the relationship is going?
Pick a calm moment, say why you’re asking, and start with something specific and near, like a plan for next year, instead of a yes-or-no about forever. Then listen without negotiating.
